Gifts of Nature

Gifts of Nature

This full-day session invites participants on a self-assessment journey through understanding personal preferences to help you gain a deeper understanding into what makes you, you!

The Myers-Briggs model is based on Carl Jung’s theory of Psychological Type and looks at patterns in behaviour that help us to understand how people perceive the world and make decisions. There are four categories that the model explores: Introversion or extraversion, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling, judging or perceiving.

It will help you to gain:

  • An understanding of your own preferences, which can help to identify your own special strengths.

  • An insight into what kinds of work you might enjoy and be successful in doing.

  • An understanding and appreciation of others and how best to engage and motivate the different types.

  • Information about how others may see you.

“There is much to be gained by appreciating differences and much to be lost by ignoring them or condemning them… But the first step towards seeing others as distinct from yourself is to become better acquainted with your own traits of character.” – David Kiersey

Well-being: Let's Connect!

Well-being: Let’s Connect!

This two-hour workshop is designed for people who would like to take a closer look at skills to develop their own wellbeing and ways to better support their loved ones. Strong human connection improves our psychological health. Through interactive processes, we will look at practices to promote positive mental health for self and tools on how best to connect with others.

Managing stress: We all experience some degree of stress in our day-to-day lives. However too much stress can make us feel over-whelmed and can even lead to problems. This module helps participants to identify the things that can cause them stress and the things they do to manage them.

Self-Compassion: Being kind to others is something we recognise as fundamental to being human. Self-compassion is simply showing the same kindness to ones own self. In this module we consider ways to being supporting and understanding towards ourselves when we’re going through a hard time rather than self-critical. When we’re able to be gentle with ourselves, we’re more likely to reach out, empathise and connect with others.

Listening with presence: A short conversation can go a long way to support a person who is going through a difficult time in their life. By creating a safe space to share, we consider skills such as effective questioning, use of silence, paraphrasing, body language, being attentive  to practice being present in communication with others.

Showing empathy: Empathy means taking the perspective of someone else and treating that person according to your understanding of how they feel. Showing empathy helps to create a safe and nurturing environment of trust. But knowing what to say in difficult conversations is not always easy. This module takes a look at some of the ways that empathy can be demonstrated through language and actions.

Follow up: Participants are invited to a Session the following week to evaluate their skills in practice and share their experience with others.

Anger Management

Anger Management

Are you struggling with anger or do you know someone who is? Anger can be a very destructive emotion. It can cost people jobs and valuable relationships. However, having strategies and techniques to control anger, can prevent situations from spiraling out of control. This in turn, can improve the quality of interactions and reduce stress.

This course is for people who want to understand anger better and develop a calmer approach to anger-provoking situations. It is designed to equip yourself with techniques so that you control the anger rather than the anger controlling you. The session also offers advice on how to support someone who is struggling to manage their anger through understanding and exploring strategies. We aim to support participants to develop a tool box of skills that not only work but have a lasting impact.
